Labial Reduction or Labiaplasty is a simple procedure for women with elongated or asymmetric labia. Elongated labia minora can be genetic or result from changes associated with childbirth or aging. This can often result in discomfort, rubbing and pain. Excess tissue is removed surgically and delicate self dissolving sutures are placed. Once the skin has fully healed, there are generally no visible scars. Post-procedure, there is minimal discomfort for the first couple days which is relieved with pain medication and ice. The incisions heal quickly with remarkable results.
