Dilation and Curettage
Dilation and Curettage is a diagnostic procedure used to obtain sampling of the uterine lining. The cervix is carefully dilated and a small instrument is used to obtain adequate sampling for pathology. This procedure is often used to evaluate irregular, heavy or postmenopausal bleeding. Hysteroscopy is commonly performed at the time of dilatation and curettage in Scottsdale, Arizona.
